Please send your entry either using the Print Entry Form or fill in the Online Entry Form as soon as possible before the closing date. This tournament is part of the BA Ranking System, so please include your ID Number if you have one. Check your ID Number here

Also, to help reduce the Organiser's workloads during the tournament, please send your entries and pay your fees before the closing date. It will be much appreciated. Thank you.

BWF World Superseries Heading ‘Down Under’

Australia and Malaysia were today celebrating successful bids to host events in the Badminton World Federation’s (BWF) World Superseries 2014-2017 tournament cycle. more-->>>


Twelve of the nation’s leading badminton juniors will have the chance to make a name for themselves after being selected to represent Australia at the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival (AYOF).

Junior Presentation Awards

Sportsperson of the Year - Anthony Joe

Winners of several ACTBA, NWSBA and BA Junior and National events. Diligent in all training sessions. Showed great attitude, teamwork and sportsmanship and plays within the spirit of the game. Currently, ranked 3rd in the Badminton Australia National Ranking.

Most Improved Junior Player - Vianna Tri

Participated in ACTBA events to the best of her ability. Showed consistent improvement during the year. Put a lot of effort in all her training sessions.

President's Award - Bong Wong

Participated in ACTBA and BA junior events to the best of his ability. Demonstrated positive attitude, teamwork and sportsmanship and plays within the spirit of the game. Showed exceptional co-operation and commitment to training sessions and is a good ambassador for the sport.

ACT Interschool Championships

30 October 2012

ACTBA was pleased to host the ACT Interschool Badminton Competition for the first time. It was held at the ANU gym on Tuesday 30 October.

A total of 160 players from 11 different schools participated in an atmosphere of friendly rivalry. It was a team event, divided into two sections - year 7/8 division and year 9/10 division.
The results were

Year 7/8 Year 9/10
Winner: Telopea
Second: Melrose
Third: Belconnen
Winner: Telopea
Second: Alfred Deakin
Third: Stromlo

It was pleasing to welcome new schools to the competition - St Clares, Canberra Boys Grammar, Amaroo, Kingsford Smith. The other schools who participated were Calwell and Lyneham.
Well done to all players who participated
