When played competitively, badminton is very strenuous game.  It is therefore important to ensure that your body is properly prepared before you start any practice or game.  To achieve this you need to go through a series of exercises, including jogging or skipping, that will both help to raise your pulse rate and to stretch the major muscle groups.  Proper preparation will reduce the risk of sprains and strains which may occur when cold ligaments are subjected to sudden violent activities.
